1. Instant oat free porridge recipe
Ingredients
- 40g Purition Pecan & Cinnamon
- Dash of hot water or milk
Method
- Add a dash of hot water or milk to a warm bowl with 40 or 50g Purition
- Mix well and add more liquid until you reach your desired consistency
- Optional: Top with you choice of toppings like nuts, berries or a drizzle of honey
2. Energy ball recipe
Ingredients
- 40g Purition Pecan & Cinnamon
- 1 cup of pitted dates
- 1 cup unsalted mixed nuts
Method
- Soak the pitted dates in some 'off the boil' boiled water for 5 mins
- In a food processor, pulse a cup of mixed nuts until roughly chopped
- Drain and to the processor add the dates along with 40-50g Purition Pecan & Cinnamon
- Pulse until the mixture is combined
- Smoosh the mixture together and roll into balls (you can use a tablespoon to help measure)
- Chill and keep in the fridge
Swaps & optional extras
- Add extra cinnamon and ground or fresh grated ginger for extra warmth & spice. Or for pumpkin spice energy balls; add some freshly grated or ground ginger, a little grated nutmeg and a pinch of ground cloves - with extra cinnamon if needed!
- Once chilled, top with half a pecan nut or roll/ sprinkle with toasted chopped pecan nuts or dip in some 70% dark melted chocolate for an extra special treat
- If you want to keep them low sugar, simply leave the dates out. You might need to add a little melted coconut oil, or a dash of water, to bring the mixture together but it works perfectly!
3. Cauliflower & cinnamon smoothie recipe
Ingredients
- 40g Purition Pecan & Cinnamon
- 200-250ml milk
- 4-5 cauliflower florets
- ½ a small banana (optional)
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Method
- Simply blend all ingredients together for 30-40 seconds
- Pour & enjoy!
Tips & swaps
- Chill over ice or blend with ice for a creamy refreshing twist
- Use any milk, so just use your favourite
4. Pecan & Cinnamon pancake recipe
Ingredients
- 40g of Purition Pecan & Cinnamon
- 60g flour (we used self raising)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 150ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ -1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Method
- Whisk all ingredients together, to make a smooth batter. Allow to sit for 15 minutes.
- Heat 1-2 tsp coconut oil in a pan on a medium/low heat
- Add ¼ of the batter, to make one pancake, to the pan and cook until golden on both sides (when bubbles start to appear on the surface, it's time to flip it over)
- Repeat until you've run out of batter, stack them up and enjoy!
- You should be able to make 4 pancakes
5. Pecan & cinnamon overnight oats recipe
Ingredients
- 40g of Purition Pecan & Cinnamon
- 40g oats
- 100-150ml your favourite milk - we used oat milk for a little additional sweetness
Method
- Mix all 3 ingredients in a jar, or your preferred serving container
- Cover and refrigerate overnight or for a minimum of 4 hours
- Top with a dollop of yoghurt and some berries. Enjoy!
