I am on Warfarin, can I use Purition?
Yes, you can! There is no reason for you to be wary of Purition when taking a prescribed anti-coagulant/blood-thinning medication such as Warfarin to treat or prevent blood clots.
When on Warfarin, it's important to avoid vitamin K in supplement form. Please also avoid drinking cranberry, grapefruit or pomegranate juice, as these can exacerbate the blood-thinning effects of Warfarin.
A serving of Purition (40g) only naturally contains a negligible amount of Vitamin K – just 0.35-0.50µg – the NRV of Vitamin K being 75µg/day. Adding Purition to your daily diet will not negatively effect Warfarin.
Please always consult your GP or dietitian if you have any concerns regarding changing your diet, for example, before embarking on a weight-loss journey.
