Energy balls

Energy balls, protein balls, bliss balls... whatever you like to call them, there’s no denying that they’re perfect for a mid afternoon pick-me-up or when you just need a little something.

Our energy balls are a healthier alternative to processed sugary treats, but they're still made with dates, which are high in sugar. Whilst this is natural sugar, it’s still sugar – so be mindful of how many and how often you’re eating them.

Everything in moderation, as they say!

INGREDIENTS

  • 40g or 4 very heaped teaspoons of Purition
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 1 cup unsalted nuts

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak the pitted dates in some 'off the boil' hot water for 5 mins
  2. In a food processor, pulse a cup of mixed nits until roughly chopped
  3. Drain, and to the processor add the dates along with 40-50g of Purition
  4. Pulse until the mixture is combined
  5. Smoosh the mixture together and roll into balls (use a tablespoon to help measure)
  6. Keep in the fridge

SWAPS & OPTIONAL EXTRAS

  • This recipe works with all Purition flavours, but some of our flavours are the chocolatey and fruity ones
  • Try adding cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla extract or goji berries to the mix before rolling
  • Once chilled, roll in desiccated coconut, crushed nuts or melted chocolate for an after dinner treat!
