Steak & Garlic Roasted Broccoli
Friday night often = steak night at ours, it's just so quick and easy and feels like a great end of week treat.
This garlic roasted broccoli is very good, and goes perfectly with a steak or chicken. Do try it, it looks and smells amazing when you're preparing it and when it's cooking too!
What you'll need
Enough for however many you're feeding, I cook for 2.

- Steak
- Broccoli
Everyday basics
- Garlic
- Cheese
- Lemon
Store cupboard
- Olive oil
- Salt & pepper
What to do
- Divide the broccoli heads into florets and wash. Place in a large mixing bowl. Add a generous glug of olive oil, as much sliced garlic as you dare, some grated lemon zest and parmesan cheese. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Use your hands and give it a good mix. Spread onto a baking tray and cook on the middle shelf for about 20 minutes or until cooked and golden brown (180 fan).
- While the broccoli is roasting, cook the steak to your preference and allow to rest.
- Once everything's ready, plate up and serve with a fresh lemon wedge.

Notes & tips
60-62 degrees this is the temperature at which steak is cooked medium rare/ medium. Insert a food thermometer into the thickest part of the meat. When it's between 60-62 degrees, it can come off the heat and left to rest.
no garlic? use a tsp or 2 of garlic granules instead. You could also add some chilli flakes too
